The 8085 microprocessor has several types of registers, both programmable and non-programmable. Here's a brief overview:nnProgrammable Registers:
1. Accumulator (A): Used for arithmetic and logical operations.
2. B register: Stores intermediate values during calculations.
3. C register: Also stores intermediate values, but it can be used as an accumulator in some instructions.
4. D register: Another register to store intermediate values.
5. Stack Pointer (SP): Points to the top of the stack memory.
6. Program Counter (PC): Holds the address of the next instruction to be executed.
7. I/O Ports: These are used for communication with external devices.nnNon-Programmable Registers:
1. Bits 0-3 of Status Register (S): Contains flags indicating various conditions like carry, auxiliary carry, zero, sign, and parity.
2. Control Register (C): Holds control bits for interrupt enable/disable, reset, and halt.
