Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and High Temperature Short Time (HTS) are two different electrical components. An ATS is a device that automatically transfers a load from one power source to another during a power failure or when the primary power source becomes unavailable. HTS, on the other hand, refers to a protection relays' ability to withstand high inrush currents for short durations during switching operations.
