When the phase sequence of a generator changes, it affects the phase relationship between its voltages and currents. However, the vector group (Y/Δ) does not change unless the connections inside the generator are physically altered. The vector group indicates how the three-phase windings of the generator are connected to each other. If the generator remains unchanged, the vector group will remain the same even when the phase sequence changes.
