Alternating Current (AC) is an electrical current that periodically changes direction at regular intervals, usually 50 or 60 times per second. The direction of the current reverses when the voltage polarity changes. Reverse current, on the other hand, refers to a situation where the flow of current in a circuit temporarily flows opposite to its normal direction. This can occur due to various reasons, such as inductive kickback or rectifier failures. Reverse current is not a continuous phenomenon like AC but rather a temporary condition that can cause problems in electrical circuits.
