how to find motors H.P. whout any rating?
(only give you a motor and multimeter)
Answer Posted / Sharib Ahmad
To find the horsepower (H.P.) of a motor without any rating using a multimeter:
1. Measure the resistance (R) in Ohms (Ω).
2. Apply the formula: H.P. = (T * π * N) / 30,000, where T is Torque in Newton-meters and N is RPM (Revolutions Per Minute).nNote: The torque value for DC motors can be calculated using Ohm's law: T = K * I^2 * R, where K is the motor constant.
