To calculate the current, you can use Ohm's law: I = P/V where P is wattage, V is voltage. To choose a cable, the American Wire Gauge (AWG) chart can be used. For example, for 100W load at 240V and a power factor of 0.8 (assuming the load is resistive), I = 100/(240*0.8) = 0.4167 A. You should use an appropriate AWG cable based on this current value.
