Cascade Speed Control is a multi-loop feedback system used to regulate the speed of AC or DC motors. It involves two or more controllers, where the output of one controller is used as an input for another controller. This arrangement allows finer control and better stability. In this system, an outer loop (master controller) adjusts the overall motor speed based on a setpoint, while an inner loop (slave controller) regulates the current or voltage to achieve the desired speed. The slave controller sends back an error signal to the master controller, which then makes necessary corrections.
