Anti-windup Reset (AWR) or Anti-Reset Windup (ARW) and Anti-Reset Windup (ACR) are employed in a double closed-loop speed regulating system to prevent the integral term from saturating. AWR prevents the reset action from exceeding its limits, while ACR keeps the integral term from overshooting during the restart of the system after a trip or reset. The use of ASR and ACR helps improve system stability, reduce steady-state error, and prevent oscillations.
