The Ith (I thermal) for a current transformer can be calculated using the following steps:nn1. Determine the rated current of the current transformer (It).n2. Measure the temperature rise of the transformer core (ΔT) during load.n3. Refer to the manufacturer's datasheet to find the temperature coefficient (α). This is usually given in units of ΔT per unit It.n4. Calculate Ith using the formula: Ith = It * (1 + α * ΔT)
