Centrifugal pumps are commonly used in I.D. fans due to their high efficiency, ability to handle large volume flows, and self-priming capability. Axial pumps are typically utilized in F.D. fans because they can deliver a higher pressure rise, making them suitable for applications with tight clearances or where higher static pressures are required.
