I want to model a piezoelectric beam in ansys software.How can I model the electrical circuit and how can I read the general current and voltage produced by the PZ?

In ANSYS, you can model a piezoelectric beam using the ElectroMechanical Coupled (EMC) module. Here's a simplified step-by-step process:
1. Create a 2D or 3D solid model of the piezoelectric beam in Mechanical APDL (Advanced Pre/Post Processor).
2. Define the material properties including the piezoelectric coefficients for your specific material.
3. Mesh the model using suitable element types such as SOLID185, SOLID45 or SOLID95.
4. Switch to ElectroMechanics APDL and create an EMC subroutine to define the electrical circuit.
5. Define the boundary conditions including applied voltage or displacement.
6. Solve the problem using a suitable solver such as PZFlex or Maxwell's equations solver.
7. Post-process the results to obtain the general current and voltage produced by the piezoelectric element.nReading these values can be done through the use of 'FIELD OUTPUT' in the Mechanical APDL.
