1. Obtain a permanent account number (PAN) if you do not already have one, as it is mandatory for registration under GST. You can apply for PAN at the NSDL or UTIITSL website: <https://www.panindia.gov.in/>
2. Apply for GST Registration by visiting the GST portal: <https://www.gst.gov.in/>
3. Fill out the necessary forms (GST REG-01, GST REG-02, and GST REG-03) with the required details and submit them along with supporting documents.
4. Once verified, your GST number (VAT or CST, depending on your location) will be issued.
