Design a shear wall of length 4.20 m and thickness of 250mm subjected
to the following
forces.Assume Fck = 25Mpa and Fy = 415Mpa and the wall is a high wall
with central part
3440mm x 250mm and two 380mm x 760mm strong bands at each end with
following loading.

S.No.       Loading        Axial force      Moment     Shear

1               DL+LL          1950              600            20

2           Seismic load       250              4800          700

To design a shear wall, we will first calculate the moments and shears for each loading condition, and then combine them to find the overall forces. We'll assume that the shear wall is reinforced with steel bars.
1. Axial force (DL+LL) = 1950 N
2. Moment (Moment due to DL+LL) = (1950*4.2)/2 = 3870 Nm
3. Shear (Shear due to DL+LL) = 1950/2*250 = 243750 N
4. Seismic load = 250 N
5. Moment (Moment due to Seismic load) = 250*(4.2^2)/8 = 312.5 Nm
6. Shear (Shear due to Seismic load) = 250*4.2/2 = 520 N
7. Total Moment = 3870 + 312.5 = 4182.5 Nm
8. Total Shear = 243750 + 520 = 244270 N
9. Check the maximum shear stress and bending moment at critical sections to ensure the wall is adequate.
