What do you mean by tolerance factor of concrete ?

Answer Posted / Deepak Kumar Tiwari

The Tolerance Factor (TF) in concrete is a measure used to ensure the workability and durability of concrete mixtures. It is defined as the ratio of the maximum size of coarse aggregate to five times the fineness modulus. A higher tolerance factor generally indicates a more workable mix, while a lower one indicates a stiffer mix. The tolerance factor can affect the concrete's compactness, durability, and resistance to cracking.
