A grid floor, also known as a deck or slab-on-metal floor system, consists of a series of reinforced concrete slabs supported by steel beams arranged in a grid pattern. Advantages include: rapid construction, increased load-bearing capacity, reduced deflection (sagging), and excellent fire resistance.
