To enter steps manually in the Expert View of QuickTest Professional (QTP), follow these steps:
1. Open or create a test script and switch to the Expert View by clicking on 'Expert View' in the toolbar, or by pressing Ctrl+E.
2. In the 'Actions' pane on the left side, expand the desired object hierarchy to locate the action you want to add.
3. Right-click on an empty space under the desired action and choose 'Add Action.'
4. A list of available actions will appear. Select the required action from the list or type it in the search bar and press Enter.
5. Edit the properties of the new action as needed by double-clicking on the action in the 'Actions' pane, or modifying them directly in the code editor.
