A man has Rs. 480 in the denominations of one-rupee notes, five-rupee notes and ten-rupee notes. The number of notes of each denomination is equal. What is the total number of notes that he has ?

Answer Posted / Manvendra Kumar

Let's denote the number of notes for each denomination as N. Since the total amount (Rs. 480) and the number of notes are equal for all denominations, we have three equations:
1 * N + 5 * N + 10 * N = 480
N + N + N + N = 480 / 1 + 480 / 5 + 480 / 10
Solving the above two equations, we get:
N = 240 (since N is the number of notes for all denominations)
