If You wanna go for big firms,
1) You need reference of the persons those who are in firm( it is easy way to go without most complicated testing and interviews)
2) Otherwise you need to qualify the criteria of
a) Passing of Intermediate of CA at first attempt( Mostly) or second attempt
b) you should pass both groups
c) Communication skills will add you more to big firms
d) 70% above in academics
e) 4 or 5 stages of interviews
