How many no of bars in a bundle of steel and kgs/bundle. 8
mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm with both MS and TMT separate.
Answer Posted / abdullah
before you calculate bars/bundles; you need to know the stander theoretical weight for one bundle is 2000 KG (2 Tons) and the common length is 12 M. this information is enough to tells there is a different number of bars per bundles for each size.
then, there is two way to calculate the number of bars per bundle:
first; bundle weight / ( PI x ( (bar size)^2 / 4 ) x steel factor x length )
for our information on top you will got; 2000/((PI()*D^2/4)*0.00785*12), where D for diameter of the bar (size you need)
second is; 2000 / ( ( D^2 / 162.163 ) x 12 ), where D for diameter of the bar
from this the stranded of no. of bar came to be:
12D=188, 14D=138, 16D=106, 18D=84, 20D=68, 25D=44, 32D=26, 36D= 21, 40D=17.
