what is the main difference between simplex RTD and Duplex RTD?
Answer Posted / bhopal
Winding RTDs are embedded between coils inside a CRNGOSS (cold rolled non grain oriented silicon sheet steel) core slot. It is nearly impossible to replace a damaged/erroneous RTD, since the wound stator capsules are rasin dipped/VPIed(vacuum pressure impregnated). Taking out the top coil to insert fresh RTD will surely damage the insulation. A duplex will offer an additional source for measurement.
