How to calculate the amount of Brick, cement & sand required
for 1 cum of 230mm thick brick work with ratio 1:5 please
give me an answer with detailed step
Answer Posted / mohamed alfaiz
actual volume brick ------- 19cm x 9cm x 9cm = 0.0015m3 (1m3/0.0015)=666.66 nos
thickness of mortar -------- 10mm
volume of brick + mortar------- 20cm x10cm x 10cm =0.002m3 (1m3/0.002)=500 nos
=(1m3 -500/666.6)
=0.25m3 of mortar
quantity of cement required
unit wt of cement 1440kg /m3
ratio 1:5
=1440/5
=288kg/m3 x 0.25m3
72kg/50kg per bag
=1.44bag of cement
sand
0.25m3
