Basically the power generation totally depend on type of turbine used.whether its a condensation type or a back pressure
According to thumb rule
1 MW power generated by 4TPH steam in condensate turbine
1 MW power generated by 8 TPH steam in backpressure turbine
You can simple calculate by using below formula:
Steam consumption=steam genaeration capacity of drum/power plant electrical output

why is the in steam turbine axial displacement of active side thrust pad is positive and non active side thrust pad is negative.
