most commonly 2 types of pavements are used,
1) rigid-pcc
2)flexible-bitumen
1) rigid pavements, ie. pcc, is costly. they require low maintenance, the construction speed is very slow.
2)flexible pavements, ie. bitumen, is low cost as compared to rigid pavements. they requires periodical maintenance, the construction speed is faster as compared to pcc road construction.
