What is the main difference between deflection and null type instruments?

where the value of the quantity being measured is displayed in terms of the amount of movement of a pointer is called deflection type instrument .eg. pressure gauge. &An instrument used to measure a quantity by adjusting known quantities until a reading of zero is obtained is called null type instrument.
