What is the difference between precision and repeatability of any instrument. Why it is measured always in percentage
Answer Posted / hiren patel
As per my point of view,
Precision is degree of exactness. It does not mean that how near to goal you are but it shows how many times you will get nearer result as you obtain first time.
for example In archery game goal is center circle and you hit at third circle at position let say at uppermost position. now on second, third , fourth time you will hit at same or nearer to that point. then it is called precision.
Repeatability means how many time the systems repeats the same value under same conditions.
