What is the difference between vitrified and ceramic tiles?

Ceramic tiles are made of clay and mixed with water, vitrified tiles are made of clay mixed with quartz and feldspar.
These elements make vitrified tiles more stronger than ceramic tiles and less water absorptive which makes them better for outdoor use.
