Defect life cycle contains
1.new-when a defect is found by tester
2.assigned-when a defect is assigned to the developer
3.open-when developer is fixing the bug
4.fixed-when developer has fixed the bug
5.retest-when tester retest the application
6.closed/reopen-when tester gives closed status else he reopen and send back to developer.
