Density=mass/volume
Density of steel=7850kg/m^3
So,
7850=mass/{(π/4)*(d^2}*1000000*length}. d is in mm
Mass/length= 10^6 / (7850*(π/4))*d^2
Therefore mass/length = d^2/162
Dia(d) is in mm and mass in kg/m
