when a synchronous machine operates at no load,Ia=0,therefore Fa=0.Neglecting the leakage impedance,then Ff=Fr & Ef=Er=Vt.Under this condition the machine is neither in motoring nor in generating mode.This condition is called Floating on the line.
Fa=mmf due to arm current
Fr=air gap mmf,Ff=field mmf,Ef=excitation emf,Er =air gap emf.

Please clarify, 1. Is it required to lay two runs of GI wire along with Armoured LT cable if it is laid between one big mains (63Amps TPN SDF) to small main (32A TPN SDF) with proper glanding termination? 2. If the armoured cable with proper glanding is laid from DB to CNC machine, is it required to run two runs of body earthing to the Machine from DB? 3.If the armoured cable with proper glanding is laid from Substation to Hangar, distance is approx. 100 mtrs, is it required to do earthing at shop area though the primary termination at substation is earthed through gland.

i am an maintenance engineer. one distribution board have 5 feeder. recently its ELR trips frequently, but it take some times after trip( 10min,20min..)but 3 feeder no load. two feeder only loaded. i checked one feeder IR value all values are above 50Mohm.but B phase to Earth is only 9Mohm.any problem about low value
