Cogging:the tendency of locking of rotor with the stator poles when they have equal slots or any similarities between the slots is called cogging
Crawling:the tendency of rotor to rotate at a low speed equal to the seventh space harmonic i.e Ns/7 if there are considerable amount of harmonics is called crawling
