In induction machine when the load increase the current
will increase .why?
what is the relation ship between the sleep and current
drown by stater?
Answer Posted / anonymus
Expression for current in Induction motor is given by;
I=Vs/√((r1+r2/s)^2+(x1+x2)^2 )
Where: I= stator current
Vs= Stator Voltage
r1,r2,x1 and x2 are stator resistance, rotor resistance,stator impedance and rotor impedance
s= slip
As load increases rotor speed decreases. Since,[s=(Ns-Nr)/Ns] as a result slip(s) increases hence the term (r2/s) decreases and the net impedance decreases and the current I(inversely proportional to impedance as also can be seen from equation) increases.
