What is reason to get a power factor nearly zero in resistive loads
Answer Posted / sudipt jena
Absence of reactive power.
As we know series connection of inductor or capacitor leads to phase shifting of current with certain angle and hence decreasing the power factor of the line. But unlike capacitor/inductor a resistance is a passive element, resulting unity power factor.
