Why we use Delta connection in the secondary side of a High Voltage transformer?
Answer Posted / brandon peña
When you use a delta connection, any harmonics coming from that side are caught inside the delta. In reality, transformers used in electrical networks use the secondary winding with a delta connection since most of the harmonics come from load sources, which are connected to the secondary of all transformers. This way ensures the distribution networks don't get overloaded with harmonics.
