Reciprocating compressor deliver gas with high pressure and mass of flow rate small due to reciprocation motion.it is used for less mass flow rate.etc mostly used pneumatic air.
Centrifugal compressor deliver gas with low pressure and mass flow rate high due to centifugal mation.it is used for high mass flow rate.etc mostly used in turbine.
