What is the difference between rated and maximum speed of 3phase
induction motor.....? Can the motor speed exceeds the rated speed..?

Rated speed is also maximum speed of a motor no difference
b/w max.speed and rated speed. in case of on load operation
of motor rated speed may be down in little bit which called
slip speed.
