what is the formula to get the 3 phase motor winding resistance? for example, i have 460v and 3A ? what would be the per phase winding resistance? thank you..
Answer Posted / ahmad raza
In your case firstly mention whether the
motor winding is in star or delta.however
firstly u need to calculate per phase
impedance i.e. per phase voltage divided by
per phase current. Then the answer u get will
be in a complex form i.e. R+jX were R is per
phase resistance of motor winding.
Example: (460/_0)÷(1.73x3)= 88.527ohm. (For
star winding)
For delta simply divide 460 by per phase
current.

Let’s say we live in a country that gets very cold, in Northern America / Europe. In winter, we monitor the ouside temperature, so that heaters can be switched on, inside the house. The idea is that, the colder it is outside, the warmer it should be inside. The heating side of things is just a heater that is either switched on, or switched off. Just from the information that has been given, please discuss this matter in depth. Provide reference to OPEN / CLOSED loop control, FEEDFORWARD / FEEDBACK control and MODULATING / ON_OFF control raised in the discussion.
