what is different between multiplexer and demultiplexer?
Answer Posted / uma sharma
Multiplexer-
1. Many inputs & one output.
2. Data select lines.
3. Parallel to serial conversion.
4. When we design multiplexer, we don't need additional gates.
5. Example- 8:1, 16:1, 32:1
Demultiplexer-
1. One inputs & many output.
2. Data distributer.
3. Serial to parallel conversion.
4. When we design demultiplexer, we need additional gates.
5. Example- 1:8, 1:16, 1:32
