IF avr is voltage regulator of genset means why we are
giving genset CT sense to AVR ?

First of all, we dont have any machine that give output without input. we have CT connected to thegenset o/p &secondry of the CT is connected to the AVR. the AVR sense the current o/p of Genset & give commond to the control system of excitation to control the excitation voltage & current.
