Approximate method to determine the qty of material of mortarfor 10cum brickwork- divide by 3 by the4 sum of numericalof the proportion of material which gives the qty. Of cement in cum. So 1:4=
3/1+4= .6 cum i.e 18 bags in 10 cum
Sand= .6 x 4 = 2.4 cum
It is ony applicable in 10 cum brickwork
