Instrumentation engineering is a branch of science which
deals with measurement, display and control and serves all
other branches of engineering like industrial process
instrumentation, biomedical instrumentation, analytical
instrumentation.
Measurement is also a broad field. varieties of measuring
sensors are available for different process variables(i.e.
pressure, flow, D.P. etc) such as bourdan tube,
thermocouples etc.
Display gone much more advancement like CRT replaced with
TFT, analog meters to digital meters etc.
The most innovative application of control in last decades
are automation.
like DCS, PLC, LIFE JACKETS.
