NGR means neutral ground reactor. Normally it is used in
Generation stations and long line shunt reactors. Main
purpose is to limit fault current when earth faults. and
also it acts as a phase winding when one of the reactor
winding or generetor winding or phese in lines open or
grounded.

In a power conditoining unit (inverter) of a solar plant when we measure the d.c. current fed by different strings of solar plates to inverter, the current in the negative wire is less almost by 1 ampere to the current in its positive wire say current in positive wire 5 A , then current in negative wire of the same string is 4 A. Since the current entering should be equal to current leaving then why the current is noticably less in negative wire.

We have a couple of oil tanks at our plant. One of them does not have a lightning arrester installed. My question is it necessary to install an arrestor on every tank or will this particular one be covered by the arrestor installed on the ajdacent tank, Since all the tanks are close to each other.
