can we use transformer for 70 Hz?

Answer Posted / arun

YES WE CAN IN FACT ON HIGHER FREQUENCY THE LOSSES WILL DECREASES AS Ph=Kh *f*Bmax1.6* (hystereis loss )
Pe=Ke*f2*Bmax2(eddy current loss)
V=4.44*f*Bmax*N
so if i put the value of Bmax from the third equetion then eddy curren loss will be independent of the frequency but hysterysis loss is inverly propotional to B(power .6 )
so from here its clear that if frequencuy increase then losses decreases so

How is the speed of a DC shunt motor related to the armature current?

1128

A 500 V shunt motor runs at its normal speed of 250rpm when the armature current is 200A. The resistance of the armature is 0.12 Ω. Calculate the speed when a resistance is inserted in the field reducing the shunt field to 80% of normal value and the armature current is 100A.
