What is point of contraflexure ?
Answer Posted / somesh mathur
Point of Contraflexure is simply the point where the bending moment diagram changes sign and as a result the radius of curvature changes sign. It has nothing to do with shear force at the point. At the point of contraflexure bending moment is zero but vice versa may not be true.
