since transformer and generator are acting as source due to
which the load connected to them can be inductive (lagging pf)
or capacitive(leading pf) or resistive.WE don't know about
the load before hand. Real power (KW) changes due to pf
change in (P= S*pf) ,but the total apparent
power KVA remain constant. so transformer and generator
power changes that's they are rated in KVA but motor' pf is
specified and acting as a load ,that's why motor rating is
always specified in KW. because its KW never changes!!

As we use capacitor bank in 3ph ckt to improve PF, can we use capacitor in single ph domestric use, in house we have Fan,Mixer, electric cooker, iron, tube choke they also lag the system, because it is inductive load. if it is possible to improve PF of single ph system-- if yes- type of capacitor to be used, connection diagram, working in detail. if no-- list it.

Is neutral transformer can be called as control transformer?
If any HVDC line is going with positive & negative(the negative usually have return path of current with earthing electrode). Now the question is if this HVDC earthed electrode which is using as return path and earthed any nearby 400kv or 220kv AC substation equipments. which will be the impact of this on AC substation & its equipment, how severe may be this and what should be the minimum distance require between HVDC earthed electrode and AC substation equipments? It's really an high engineering level question...Dare to answer and increase your knowledge.
