The sum of three numbers is 20. The second number is 4
times the first number , and the sum of the first and third
is8. Find the numbers.

Three numbers are x , y , z ;
So ,
x + y + z = 20;
4x = y;
x+ z= 8;
therefore ,
8+y=20;
y = 12, x= 3 ,z= 5;
