what is the use of starter in tube light?and what it
contains
Answer Posted / abdul wahab
FOR IONIZATION OF GAS IN TUBE LIGHTS, IT REQUIRES HIGH
VOLTAGE NEAR TO 1100V OR 1200V ACROSS ITS TERMINALS.
STARTER HELPS CHOKE COIL FOR GENERATING THIS MUCH OF
VOLTAGE ACROSS THE TUBE LIGHT TERMINALS FOR SHORT TIME
PERIOD SO THAT IONIZATION CAN HAPPEN INSIDE THE TUBE LIGHT.
STARTER CONTAINS BIMETLIC CONTACT.AT THE TIME OF STARTING
IT WILL BE NORMALLY CLOSED & AFTER SOME TIME(SHORT TIME) IT
WILL OPEN & DUE TO THIS OPENING AS PER LAN'S LAW CHOKE COIL
PRODUCE HIGH VOLTAGE ACROSS THE TUBE LIGHT TERMINALS.
