What are the main problems in distribution? I have to do an assignment so which problem should I choose? Like power factor problem etc.

Some of the problems are:
1. A real transformer has series impedances in it so the
output voltage of a transformer varies wit the load even if
the input voltage is constant. This is solved by voltage
regulation.
2. Local variations in voltages. This is solved by transformer
taps.
3. Requirements of small changes in voltage which are too
costly to solve by a normal transformer can be solved using an
autotransformer.
