How du we calculate dry cement (in Bags) for any concrete,
also sand and aggregate? How many bags of cement does 100
cft of concrete 1:2:4 require? Procedure to calculate the
required amount. Also if there is any easy thumb rule to
find out.

Answer Posted / muhammad younas

100*1.54=154 (1.54 for wet to dry)
1+2+4=7 (sum of ratio)
formula:
cement : (154*1)/7=22 cft = 22/1.25=17.60 Bags
sand : (154*2)/7=44 cft
aggregate: (154*4)/7=88 cft
