Hai I have 2500KVA,Transformer,13.8KV/380.DELTA/STAR.How
much load that I can take interms of current?How can I
calculate also when I have loads in KW?

Hi I am K.Murugesan BE EEE working at Tidel Park Ltd Chennai
as a O&M Manager.
KVA=1.732*V*I
KW=1.732*V*I*Cos.Phi
Primary Current=KVA/(1.732*13.8KV)
Primary Current= 2500/(1.732*13.8)
= 104.592A(HT.Amps)
Load Current/Secondary Current = 2500/(1.732*380)
Load Current/Secondary Current = 3.798357 KA
= 3798.357A (LT Amps)
You can Load up to 80% of Loads with safe operation.
Transformer does not consider PF.
It is only on Load side have to be maintain 0.8Lag to Unity.
Regards
K.Murugesan.
