DHCP stands for dynamic host configuration protocol.it is to assigning the ip,dns,gateway address to the client machine in the same network Automatically .
The process of assigning address to the clients is called as
DORA process .
D:-discovery in this process the client machine is going to
discover the dhcp server in the network via broadcasting.
O:-offer in this process the dhcp server is going to send a
offer message to the client machine.
R:-request in this the client machine is going to send a
request to dhcp.
A:-accoknoledgement in this dhcp is going to send
accoknowledgement(conformation)to the clients.
this is the main function of dhcp.
